ABOUT
Sofia Román is a Mexican visual artist exploring the relationship between mental states and the body. Working primarily in graphite and mixed media, she creates emotionally charged images that reflect the distortions and intensity of bipolar disorder. Her series Phases tells a story of survival, transformation, and the complexity of living with bipolar disorder. Through her work, she seeks to raise awareness, create dialogue, and challenge stigma around mental illness.

Her drawing Senses will be part of the upcoming exhibition VISIONARY COLOURS in Celaya, Mexico.
